MANDARK (WELOVEGENEVA) - THE BEACH INTERVIEW


He's the eternally young and brilliant cultural entrepreneur behind Welovegeneva, a Geneva-born photographer with a Berliner heart, a hair connoisseur (whattup!), and simply "ce bon vieux Mandark". Ain't nuthin' but a Boris "Mandark" Meister party better yet an art opening, you know.

Genevan: Favorite summer vacation spot

Mandark: Italy or Croatia for the beach, Berlin for everything else.

G: Favorite way to beat the heat in summer

M: Staying under an umbrella on a terrace, and drinking a Perrier citron.

G: Choice of beach drink

M: Ice tea (Lipton, please) and sparkling water. In case of a beach party, a beer.

G: Obligatory beach items

M: Sunglasses, magazines and watermelon are a must. And a warm sea.

G: Favorite beach movie

M: Les Bronzés.

G: Favorite beach or summer song

M: For the moment it's "Love is Wet" (Zshare) by Pilooski, but my all time favorite is Surfer Girl (Zshare).

G: How do your sandcastles look?

M: I prefer to dig tunnels in the sand.

G: Best summer vacation memory or beach anecdote

M: Once we were lost on an Italian island, looking for a beach for hours unsuccessfully. Finally we reached a beach, thinking it was the one we were looking for, but it was a "nude beach".

G: Reading material for the beach

M: Technikart, some good books and gossip magazines stolen from my girlfriends.

G: Best beach animal

M: Willy the Whale.

G: Favorite ice cream

M: Something fruity and fresh, like green apple.
