So there's dozens and dozens of never-heard 2Pac songs leaking these days. Somebody must have put their hands on a few reels from the Death Row sessions. It's pretty cool to hear the original versions of all these joints instead of the awful remixes that made it to stores these last few years.

Diana Ross' "Love Hangover" is definitely something you can cruise to in the summer. No question. Add Pac and Snoop on it and you got timeless laid back rap for 2009.

Hatchmatik: I spent a lot of summers as a kid in the Laurentians which is an area with tons of mountains and lakes just north of Montreal. It's an amazing area where a lot of Montrealers own cottages but I haven't been in years. Hopefully this summer I'll get a chance. Also just spent a day by the pool at a friend's house - need to make more friends with pools.

G: Favorite way to beat the heat in summer

H: Swimming and drinking really cold things is always good, but in my room if it gets to defcon molten lava which it often does, I was once taught the next level Macguyver cooling system. You take a bucket of ice and water and place it under a fan (on the floor below not directly under duh). Now take a sheet and hang it in front of the fan so that the bottom of the sheet is dipping into the icy water. The water will sponge up through the sheet and make the air the fan blows on you extra cold.

G: Choice of beach drink

H: Early: CESARS. Midday: CORONAS with LIME. Later: JAMESON and GINGER.

H: BEACHBLASTER, SPF 10,000 (I'm Ginger remember), refreshments, Genevan Heathen towel (PLUG!).

Good ones: Any teenage memories of South of France summer camp, first contact with the magical world of nightclubbing and dance music.
